Please join us Wednesday March 12th at Fiore II in Middletown, CT for a presentation on by Albert Moore of NAVSEA Solutions.

Albert’s presentation will be a primer on welding inspection geared toward the practicing structural engineer. Structural engineers may not have to inspect welding as part of their day-to-day work. However, a basic knowledge of weld inspection protocol, as well as acceptance and rejection criteria can be essential for the success of a project. Also covered will be case studies from his many years of weld inspection and consulting experience related to forging machinery repair.

Albert Moore is a seasoned welding inspector having started his inspection company in 1981. He is currently certified as a Senior CWI and is also is certified in accordance with NAVSEA as an Examiner in three NDT methods and he is certified as a Level III for five NDT methods in accordance with the American Society for Non-Destructive Testing.

He is an Adjunct Instructor for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and teaches NAVSEA courses for engineers, inspectors, and welders. Several years ago, he was honored as CWI of the Year and more recently was the first recipient of the CWI Lifetime Achievement awarded by the American Welding Society. He’s written more than 100 articles that have been published by the AWS.

The meeting will be hosted at Fiore II located at 332 Main St, Middletown, CT 06457 on Wednesday March 12th from 5:30 pm to 9pm.
